Opal M. Loveall, 69, of East Moline, passed away Sunday, Nov. 23, 2014, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Inurnment will be at Rose Lawn Memorial Estates, Moline. Memorials may be made to the family.
Opal M. Helms was born in Moline on Dec. 23, 1944, to Wallace and Lena Streit Helms. She was a graduate of Moline High School and received an associate's degree from Scott Community College in Bettendorf. Opal was an administrative secretary at the Rock Island Arsenal, retiring in 1992 after 20 years.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in East Moline and the Red Hat Club and she enjoyed crafting and loved spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include son, Chad Loveall, Moline; daughter, Tonya (Troy) Bloomhuff, Coal Valley; mother, Lena Helms, Moline; brother, Larry (Donetta) Helms, Opheim; four grandchildren; and her beloved cat, Binky.
She was preceded in death by her father, Wallace, and a brother, Gary Helms.
