It's coming up on nine years since Ed passed away.  I don't know why but it just came to me the last time Ed and I talked with each other.  It was at a filling station in Biloxi, Mississippi.  I was a nearly brand new USAF 2nd Lieutenant stationed at Keesler AFB.  Ed was traveling to an assignment in Florida and, coincidentally, stopped in Biloxi to refuel just as I was doing the same thing at the same place at the same time.  We both recognized each other and spent time talking and bringing each other up to date.  Both of us serving our country in the military.  Then we went on our way.  I remember Ed made me feel like an old friend.  And, of course, his smile!  Did anyone in our class have a better smile?
