PALM HARBOR, Fla. -- Memorial services for Stephen P. Hakendorf, Palm Harbor, formerly of East Moline, will be 7 p.m. Thursday at Vinson Funeral Home, Tarpon Spring. Mr. Hakendorf died May 27, 2001, at Mease Hospital, Dunedin. He was an entrepreneur who began several businesses in the automobile industry. He worked many years at Lazy Days RV Center, Tampa, and, most recently, worked at World Auto Sales, Largo. He was born in Rock Island. Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Melanie; a daughter, Molly Humiston, Holiday; and his mother, Florella "Sue" Hathaway, Palm Harbor.

Anybody that had any dealings with Steve and was unhappy, should keep those dealings to them self. Nobody is perfect, I loved Stephen Hakendorf,regardless of anything he's done wrong. May he rest in peace! (Love you man)
