Robert "Bob" Timmerman Obituary

Robert “Bob” Glenn Timmerman, 80, of Geneseo, passed away on December 10, 2023, at University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics, Iowa City, IA.  Cremation rites have been accorded and a memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Vandemore Funeral Homes & Crematory – Geneseo Chapel.  A private inurnment will take place at a later date at Moline Memorial Park, Moline, IL.  A Recitation of the Rosary will be held at 9:30 a.m., prior to the memorial service, with the memorial visitation following from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.   Memorials may be directed to the Bob Timmerman Memorial Fund which will be distributed amongst local charities.
Bob was born March 11, 1943, the son of Clarence and Ethel Timmerman, in Moline, IL.  He graduated from Moline High School, class of 1962.  He received an apprenticeship at Reynolds Engineering.  Bob was employed as a senior production engineer for John Deere, retiring in 1999 after over thirty years of employment.  He was a member of St. Malachy Catholic Church, enjoyed fishing, camping, and traveling.  He enjoyed landscaping and working in his yard and took great pride in it.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Lynn Timmerman of Geneseo; children, Brian (Karin) Timmerman of Hanford, CA, and Kelley (Dan) Olson of St. Paul, MN.; and grandchildren, Carson Timmerman, Miranda Olson, and Braydon Olson.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Ethel Timmerman; grandson, Taylor Adams; and sisters, Pat Brewer and Bernie Deporter.
