Aledo - Diane M. Sharp, 76, of Aledo, passed away Wednesday, October 27,2021, at home surrounded by her family.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Cremation rites have been accorded. Nichols Bewley Funeral and Cremation Services is caring for Diane's family and arrangements.

Diane Marie Pysson was born November 24, 1944, in Moline, Illinois, the daughter of Omer and Amanda Taylor Pysson. She met her husband, James M. Sharp, the love of her life, while in junior high school and competing in area horse competitions. They were married on February 16, 1963, in Coal Valley, Illinois.
Diane retired as Executive Assistant for Aledo Area Chamber of Commerce. She had also worked in admissions and marketing for Aledo Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. In addition, she had worked at several other local businesses, as well as owner of Town and Country Restaurant and Sharp's Hotel and Restaurant, formerly Merchant's Hotel.
Diane enjoyed cake decorating, swimming, boating and playing tennis. She loved spending time with family and watching her grandkids perform in all of their activities.
Those left to honor and cherish her memory include her husband, Jim; son, Tom (Staci) Sharp of Aledo; daughters, Laurie (Cliff) Lanfier of Muscatine, IA and Kelly (Jim) Popovits of Crystal Lake, IL; grandchildren, Austin Sharp of Aledo, IL, Conner Sharp of Elmwood, IL, Cade Sharp of Aledo, IL, Alyssa Popovits of Crystal Lake, IL, and Tim Popovits of Crystal Lake, IL; niece, Sue (Mike) Schmick of Wisconsin Rapids, WI; great nieces, Amanda Schmick and Stacey (Mike) Petrasek; and cousin, Helen Delacluyse of Rock Island, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Shirl Leech.

I remember diane from school. Didn't know her well but always thought she was a nice person. Sure she will be missed.
