Linda Jackson

Linda S. Jackson, 57, of Sioux City, Iowa, formerly of Moline, died Saturday, Oct. 5, 2002, in a Sioux City hospital after an extended illness.

Memorial services are 11 a.m. Friday at First Congregational Church, Moline, where she was a member. The Rev. Dr. Robert Miller will officiate. Burial is in Rose Lawn Memorial Estate, Moline. There will be no services or visitation in Sioux City. Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, Sioux City, is handling arrangements.

She was born Oct. 29, 1944, in Rock Island to Gerald and Virginia Hubbard Callaway. She married David E. Jackson Dec. 20, 1961, in Folkston, Ga. She was raised and received her education in Moline.

After her husband's discharge from the military, the couple made their home in Moline. They moved to Sioux City in 1996 when her husband was transferred by his employer. She was a seamstress and enjoyed many crafts. She also loved to travel.

Survivors (and spouses) include her husband; sons, Kenneth P. (Joann) Jackson, Ocean Gate, N.J., and Gerald E. (Beckie) Jackson, Geneseo; grandson, Justin P. Jackson, Hazlet, N.J.; mother, Virginia Callaway, Mena, Ark.; sister, Sandra (Jack) Dawson, Mena; and brothers, Michael Callaway, Nixa, Mo., and Blair (Sandra) Callaway, Burnside, Ill. She was preceded by her father and infant daughter, Kimberly Lynn Jackson.
