MOLINE -- Curtis “Curt” P. Hoegner, of Moline, died Thursday, April 20, 2006, at St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, Ill., from injuries sustained from a fall. Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at First Congregational Church, Moline. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline, Ill. Visitation is 3-6 p.m. Wednesday at Wendt Funeral Home, Moline. Curt was born December 19, 1944, the son of Robert and Mary (Belha) Hoegner. He went through the Moline school system and graduated in 1962. Curt was married to Eileen (Seesland) on July 21, 1989. Curt was an apprenticed tool and die maker. He worked his way up from sweeper to president in the family owned business originally called Hoegner Tool and Die. The name was later changed to Hoegner Tool and Plastics. He had many interests from airplanes and flying to go carting, engine building, CAD-CAM system, and computers. He was a committee member of the Rock Island Grand Prix. Many friends and family are left with wonderful memories and heartfelt grief. Curt will be remembered for his generosity of his time, talents, and innovations. However, Curt treasured the moments that he listened and learned from others. He always had time to help his family and friends with anything. His mother, Mary, and his wife, Eileen, survive him. He has a large family from the Hoegner and Belha sides. His father, Robert, and his sister, Beverly, preceded him in death. The family requests that you do not send flowers. Two favorite organizations are as follows: Quad City Animal Welfare, Milan, Ill., and the Rock Island Grand Prix c/o Roger Ruthhart at the Argus.
