SILVIS, Ill. -- Services for Wayne S. Olson, of Silvis, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal, where East Moline Color Guard will conduct military honors. Visitation is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Mr. Olson died Friday, March 26, 1999, at Illini Hospital, Silvis. He retired in 1998 from Alcoa Davenport Works after more than 31 years. He was born Feb. 9, 1944, in Moline, to John and Marjorie (Kain) Olson. Wayne was raised by his mother and stepfather, Frank Peters, from age 2. He married Geri Stufflebean on May 13, 1972, in Rock Island. Wayne had served in the U.S. Army. Survivors include his wife; daughters Michelle L. Munos, Mesa, Ariz., and Bobbi (Mrs. Ronald) Deacon, Silvis; his mother, Marjorie Peters, Rock Island; four grandchildren; a sister, Rosie Coats, Omaha, Neb.; and a brother, Larry Peters, Moline. Mr. Olson was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Felicia Munos; a son, Douglas Crawford; and his father and stepfather.
