Sharon Lynn DeFosse, 61, Kirksville, Mo., passed away Thursday, June 9, 2005 at Boone Hospital Center, Columbia, Mo., after an extended illness.
In lieu of flowers, donations be sent to Truman State University to support the Aileen Hall Shoaff and Regina Davison Studio Art Scholarship, McClain Hall, 100 Normal St., Kirksville, MO 63501.
Sharon was born Jan. 13, 1944, in Moline, to Richard and Mary Jane Swanson, Moline. She graduated from Moline High School in 1962. She married Carlton O. DeFosse June 28, 1963. Sharon received her B.F.A. degree from the University of Toledo in 1992.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, friend. She was a ceramic studio artist and sculptor. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and traveling.
Survivors (and spouses) are her husband; children, Jonathan (Kaori) DeFosse, Laurel, Md., and Brandie (Ryan) Juhasz, Toledo, Ohio; two grandchildren; brother, Robert (Sharon) Swanson, Coal Valley.
