Louis (Lou) Nachbauer

So sorry to read "Mister Nachbauer" passed away.  He was a big part of my junior high school days and my sophomore baseball coach.  He was even my boss for a couple of flooring jobs many years ago.  But what I'll remember him best for was being the "monitor" of the dance floor in the Coolidge rec at noon.  He made sure the young junior high boys and girls didn't dance too close!  One more story ... many years after my schooling I was walking out of a theater in Moline when I heard a voice from behind me say, "Hello, Mr. Anderson."  Yep.  It was Mister Nachbauer.  We walked along a short distance and talked and I took note that he still had that erect posture and confident walk at a pretty senior age.  But I was most impressed that he remembered who I was in a respectful manner.  Quite a gentleman.  May he rest in peace.
